Experience the mountain adventure at the Soleiga Apartments
Val Gardena is worth a visit in any season and attracts visitors both in summer and in winter with a wide range of outdoor activities that will make your holiday unique.
For centuries, the spectacular rock formations of the Dolomites have been the dream of many nature lovers. This mountain group is rightly considered one of the most beautiful in the world, and in 2009 parts of the Dolomites were even included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. A recognition we are particularly proud of, as these mountains are our home.
Boredom is a foreign word in South Tyrol. There is a wide range of leisure activities on offer and the opportunities to actively experience the Dolomites are endless.
In summer, Val Gardena is not only a paradise for hikers, but also for mountain bikers and climbers. Even food lovers will have a lot to try: numerous traditional alpine huts invite you to taste the delicious South Tyrolean cuisine.
Many hikes and tours can be started directly from our house and we will be glad to give you some extra insider tips.
When you think of the cold season, idyllic snow-covered winter landscapes are not a rarity in the Dolomites. Val Gardena offers you the best conditions to practise your favourite winter sport!
Skiers and snowboarders can enjoy 1,200 km of perfectly prepared slopes in the largest ski area of the world, the Dolomiti Superski. The Gardena Ronda, the Sellaronda, the First World War ski tour and the Saslong World Cup ski run are all names that you will certainly remember after your skiing holiday in the Dolomites.
But an activity holiday in Val Gardena means much more than just skiing! You can discover the valley from a completely new side. In fact, Val Gardena is also a wonderful destination for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, sledging and ice-skating.
If you prefer a more leisurely pace, you can stroll through the centre of the three villages of Selva, S. Cristina and Ortisei.
